Chandrababu Naidu Demands Music Varsity to Honour S P Balasubrahmanyam
Former CM N Chandrababu Naidu urged the Andhra Pradesh government to set up a music varsity in Nellore to honour the late singer S P Balasubrahmanyam. He also asked for installation of a bronze statue of SPB at the varsity. He further added, "The state music academy should also be named after him. This would encourage the youth towards fine arts as Balu has desired.”

Veteran Playback Singer SP Balasubrahmanyam Passes Away at 74
Legendary playback singer SP Balasubrahmanyam passed away on September 25 in Chennai. He had tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in August, and negative in September. Reportedly, he was doing well until September 24 when his health conditions worsened. Music composer AR Rahman tweeted that he was "devastated" to know about Balasubrahmanyam's demise.
