National Congress Party (NCP) in Maharashtra urged PM Narendra Modi to exempt government buses and municipal transportation from diesel hike. On March 21, NCP Spokesperson Mahesh Tapase said, "I take this opportunity to request your good-self to kindly exempt all state government and municipal bus services which fall in the category of bulk users from this hike of diesel rates".
