No Tie Up With Tesla, Tata CEO Confirms
Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran confirmed that there is no dialogue with Tesla for a collaboration. The statement came after speculations arose of Tata partnering with Elon Musk-owned Tesla that recently entered the Indian market. Chandrasekaran said, "We will do it on our own". He added that Tata Motors has been performing well and does not need an outside partnership at this time.

TCS Founder And Father Of Indian IT Industry FC Kohli Dies At 96
Father of Indian IT industry, FC Kohli passed away on November 26. The 96-year-old veteran technocrat was the founder and first CEO of Tata Consultancy Services. Directing several entities of Tata group, he was also among the board directors in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Along with being president of Computer Society of India, he was the chairman at the south-east Asia Regional Conferences in 1976 and 1988.

Tata Group Offers To Buy 18% Shares of SP Group
Tata Sons Limited on September 22, informed that they are willing to buy 18% stakes of Shapoorji Pallonji Group, owned by Cyrus Mistry. The decision came after the Mistry, who is also one of the investors at Tata, had a bitter clash with the Group in 2016, which required to pay matured debts. However, SP group wants to raise capital using the shares as collateral which Tata Group fears as a risk.

Tata's Proposal for Constructing New Parliament Building Accepted
On September 16, Tata Projects Limited emerged as the winner to construct the new Parliament building. There were two Mumbai-based companies that had submitted the proposal - Larsen & Toubro Limited with proposal of Rs 865 crore and Tata Projects Ltd with Rs 861.90 crore. The new building will be a part of the current government's plan to redevelop the central structure in New Delhi.
