India has witnessed a 24% dip in Tuberculosis registrations in 2020 due to COVID-19, according to the India Tuberculosis Report 2021. As per the report, last year about 18.05 lakh TB cases were registered as against the 24.04 lakh cases registered in 2019. However, the registrations had spiked by 6% for a short span of January and February in 2020. Notably, India accounts for 30% of the total tuberculosis cases in the world.
