Oceanic Warmth Rose Despite Dip In Global Carbon Emission: Study
A joint study by China, US and Italy pointed that despite a drop in carbon emissions, the global oceanic temperature in 2020 was recorded as the warmest in history. The report mentioned that the above 2,000 metres of oceans absorbed relatively greater heat than 2019. Moreover, the study chief Cheng Lijing said that due to the delayed response, the climate change might last for long by manifesting typhoons, hurricanes and extreme rainfall.
