Abu Dhabi on November 7 announced a new law, in which non-muslims will be allowed to marry, divorce, and get joint child custody. Reportedly, the UAE government followed the Islamic sharia principles, which have been changed in the view of maintaining its competitive edge as a regional commercial hub. While speaking at a media conclave, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on October 9 said that we're working in full swing to sign free trade agreements (FTAs) with the UAE and Australia. Reportedly, the government is negotiating to conclude the agreement with the UAE by March 2022 and with Australia by the end of 2022. Besides, Goyal said the negotiation is also going on with the UK. 

UAE has lifted its travel ban for the vaccinated people from India and 14 other countries including Pakistan, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka. According to reports, the Disaster Management Authority has notified that the shot received should be approved by WHO. Besides, the new guidelines will come into effect from September 12 and are expecting huge global traffic. Moreover, Dubai will start its Expo 2020 World Fair on October 1.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has finally on August 17 confirmed that the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 will start on October 17 and will end on November 14. The World Cup is divided between Round 1 and Super12. The main tournament Super12 among 16 teams will be played between October 23 to November 14 in the UAE and Oman. Notably, India and Pakistan's match will be on October 24.

United Arab Emirates has granted the ''Dubai Golden Visa'' to Indian Tennis player Sania Mirza, allowing her and her husband Shoaib Malik to reside for 10 years in UAE. Notably, Sania is the third Indian personality to receive the visa, following Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Dutt. Thanking PM Sheikh Mohammed Rashid, Sania said, ''This is my second home and we're looking forward to spending more time here".
