IT NITES Complaints To Labour Ministry Against Wipro Over Salary
Disappointed with the company, IT employee union Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES) has filed a complaint against Indian IT major Wipro with the Labour Ministry. Filed on February 22, the complaint reads, "The company [Wipro] is now reducing the salary of freshers unethically, which is a clear violation of the terms of the offer letter and a breach of contract." Wipro revised offer letter, reducing salaries by 50%.

Wipro Reports Declined Revenue In June Quarter, Profit At Rs 2,563 Crore
Wipro, an IT-major company reported a dip of revenue in its June quarter profit at Rs 2,563 crore, at 20.9%. As per sources, for the quarter revenue rose to 17.9% , Rs 21,528.6 crore. Its operating margin in IT services segment decreased by 200 bps QoQ to 15%. With this, the consolidated total revenue of the Bengaluru-based Wipro is 15.51%. Furthermore, in terms of dollars, revenue is $2.7 billion.

Satya Easwaran Appointed As Wipro India Head
Satya Easwaran, who has served as a top executive in the professional services network, KPMG, has been appointed as the new Wipro India Head. Wipro's Profits Fall By 9.6%, Yet Surpasses $10 Billion Milestone
The country's third-largest IT services company, Wipro has reported a profit of Rs. 2,930.7 crore in the September 2021 quarter. Furthermore, the profits declined by 9.6% due to a contraction in margins after a wage hike. However, gross revenue has been increased by 7.8%, making it Rs. 19,760.7 crore. Wipro also surpassed the $10 billion milestones of annual revenue run rate.

Wipro Likely To Allow Employees Work From Office Soon
Indian multinational company Wipro is expected to allow its employees to work from the office, from September. Saurabh Govil, the Chief Human Resources Officer, stated that the decision would be implemented depending on the pandemic and the third wave, as well as on the speed of the vaccination drive. The company has vaccinated almost 35,000 employees under its premises.
