Presidential Election: Voting Begins, PM Modi Among First To Cast Vote In Parliament
The voting for the presidential election began on July 18, and PM Modi was among the first to cast his vote in the parliament. Polling to elect the 15th president of India began at around 10 am. The counting of votes will reportedly take place on July 21. NDA candidate Droupadi Murmu has been pitted against candidate nominated by joint opposition Yaswant Sinha.

Yaswant Sinha Thanks UPA For Nominating Him; Says, Will Stand With Farmers, Women, Youth If Elected
UPA Presidential Candidate Yaswant Sinha stated that, if elected, he will stand raise his voice for the farmers. Besides, will said he will also raise his voice for the youth, women, unemployed, and all the marginalised sections of the society. He thanked the opposition leaders for nominating him as the common candidate for the presidential election, which is scheduled to take place on July 18.
