Nagaland Assembly Endorses 4-point Resolution On Insurgency Problem
Under Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio, the state's legislative assembly on February 18 ratified a four-point resolution concerning the long-drawn insurgency struggle. The Indo-Naga political turmoil, which dates back to the 1950s began with secessionist demands. However, issues like increased autonomy and integration of all Naga-inhabited areas of Nagaland with adjoining states garnered centerstage. Besides, the assembly requested the Centre and Naga associations to effectuate a one-stop solution through political negotiations.
