RCB to 'Go Green' Against CSK to Promote Environmental Awareness: IPL
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) announced that their players will wear special green jerseys in their upcoming match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on October 25 to promote environmental awareness. In a small video that the team released on Twitter, the players were seen wearing green jerseys and urging viewers to save the planet. They also advocated electricity-consumption and a reduced use of plastic. Vice-Captain AB De Villiers stated that water shortage issues at South Africa's Cape Town are still "Fresh" in his mind. RCB has been endorsing the "Go Green" campaign since the 2011 edition of IPL when they requested the fans to travel in public transport to the venue and also offered saplings to them.
