26 New Electric Buses To Be Deployed in Mumbai; BEST Owns Six

Maharashtra's Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) have inaugurated 26 new AC electric buses on November 26. The noiseless and zero polluting e-buses have been dedicated to short routes of Mumbai city. While the six busses are owned by BEST and rest are on lease. The single-decker midi buses are manufactured by Tata Motors. "A significant part of funds are received from the Centre while BEST pays remaining portion," said a BEST official.
