BCCI's Payment for Hosting IPL 2020 in UAE, Future Events: Cricket
UAE's Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) hosted the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, against a hefty amount of Rs 100 crore by the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI). According to Mumbai Mirror's report, the ECB was chosen over Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) as the former was the first to come up with the proposal. UAE is now being seen as a potential venue for upcoming India-England series along with IPL 2021.
