EWS Students in Private Schools Deprived; Parents Demand Free Books, Uniform

Parents have complained about not receiving free books and uniforms that the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) students are entitled to receive under the Right to Education Act. The schools have claimed that it is due to the delay in funds being transferred by the government, hence leading to parents making the purchase and awaiting the compensation. However, things have worsened this year due to the financial crisis families are facing.
