Gujarat's Harrapan city 'Dholavira' Is Now World Heritage Site
Following Telangana's Ramappa Temple, UNESCO now adds Gujarat's Harrapan city ''Dholavira'' to its World Heritage Site list on July 27. Reportedly, the ancient city was "discovered in 1968" and has "unique characteristics such as its water management system, multi-layered defensive mechanism, and extensive use of stone in construction". Notably, Dholavira dates back to over 4500 years ago and is termed as one of the two largest Indian Harappan sites.
