A 'Merry' X-Mas: Bhopal NGO Spreads Joy To Underprivileged Children
A typical morning for underprivileged children in slums has been turned into a joyous Christmas celebration by an NGO - Robin Hood Army (RHA) - members in Bhopal. The 'Robins' started the festivity with a prayer song, followed by teaching yoga to the children. The young girls from the poverty-hit sections of the society were gifted sanitary napkins as a Christmas present by RHA. Interestingly, the RHA follows a 'no-monetary' donation policy, under which people can donate everything they are willing to donate, except for money. The volunteers have conducted various activities like carol singing, lemon and spoon race, and drawing competitions. RHA representative Vijay Wadhwani stated that the NGO has been hosting several activities throughout the COVID-19 pandemic for underprivileged children. Besides, they have distributed 'dry ration' to help families cope-up with the food crises caused owing to the pandemic. Moreover, Vijay has requested people to avoid food wastage and donate leftover food from parties and functions.
