Sri Lanka's Oldest Airport To Start Operating International Flights
Sri Lanka's oldest and first airport has opened for international flights, from March 27. The Ratmalana airport was set for domestic flights after the Bandaranaike International Airport (Katunayake) was commissioned in the '60s. The 50-seater airplane will operate three flights a week to Colombo, which will later be expanded to five-days per week, said aviation officials.This is the first time in 54 years, an international flight will land here.
