IndiGo Flight Delhi-Doha Diverted To Karachi Amid Medical Emergency
An IndiGo flight diverted to Karachi after a medical emergency was reported onboard. On March 13, an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Doha suddenly had to divert after a passenger Abdullah, a 60-year-old Nigerian national fell ill. Despite attempts to save him, the passenger died on board, confirmed the flight service. The flight was halted at Karachi airport for nearly five hours, and returned to Delhi.

Mumbai Gold Smuggling: Customs Seize 12 Kg Gold Worth Rs 5.38 Cr, Detains 6 Persons
Mumbai Airport customs on September 11, seized 12 Kg gold worth Rs 5.38 crore in the airport. A Sudanese passenger reportedly smuggled the gold wearing a specially belt. Repeatedly, some passengers tried to facilitate his escape, but was overpowered. Furthermore, six persons have been detained in connection to the incident, and six others are being deported, as per a statement released by Customs.

Customs Agents Detain Man, Seize Air Weapons Worth Rs 20 Lakhs At Lucknow Airport
Customs officials apprehended a traveler who had come in from Dubai and confiscated air guns, telescopic sights, and weapons accessories worth Rs. 20,54,000 on July 19 at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow. DGCA Lays Down Conditions For Compensation When Airlines Deny Boarding To Passengers
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has laid down the conditions for compensation when a passenger is denied boarding. When boarding is denied to a passenger, the airlines must arrange an alternate flight within one hour. Failing to do so, the airlines is liable to pay Rs 10,000 and arrange an alternate flight withing 24 hours. The airlines is liable to pay Rs 20,000 if it exceeds 24 hours.

DCGI Issues New Covid-19 Norms, Makes Mask Mandatory

Vistara Launches New Security Check Procedure For Business Class Passengers: London Airport
Vistara has introduced a fast-track security clearance system for business class customers travelling from London's Heathrow airport on its journey to Delhi. Every day, Vistara operates a Boeing 787-9 on the Delhi-London-Delhi route. Vinod Kannan, the airline's CEO, characterised London as the "crown jewel" among the airline's ten non-Indian destinations. The services began at London Heathrow Airport from May 11.
