Veterans Day 2021: Army To Celebrate 2021 As Golden Victory Year
Honouring 50 years of the 1971 Bangladesh war victory, the Indian Armed Forces has vouched to celebrate 2021 as a 'Golden Victory Year.' Speaking on Veterans Day 2021, Army Chief General MM Naravane affirmed that multiple events would be organized to mark the golden jubilee. Reportedly, a memorial also will be constructed with soil collected from the natives of the 1971 gallantry awardees.

50 Years Of 1971 War: Bangladeshi Soldiers To Parade On Republic Day
To mark 50 years of the 1971 war, wherein Indian and Bangladeshi soldiers fought shoulder to shoulder, 122 Bangladeshi soldiers will participate in the Republic Day Parade on January 26. "Together We Fought, Together We March" tweeted Indian Army on January 11, informing that the Bangladeshi soldiers have departed for India. Interestingly, this will be the first time when any Bangladeshi contingent will march on the Rajpath.
