Delhi Ministers Satyender Jain, Manish Sisodia Resigns From Post
In a breaking news, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Cabinet minister Satyender Jain resigned from their posts. The development came after the Supreme Court refused to entertain the plea of Sisodia, against the CBI arrest in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam. While both the ministers are currently remanded with the CBI, the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal accepted the resignation of Manish Sisodia and Satyender Jain.

AAP Plans Mega Protest Amid Arrest Of Manish Sisodia
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders planned a mega protest in the capital city, raising voice against the arrest of Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, in the 2021-2022 Delhi Excise Liquor Scam. The protest has been planned ahead of Sisodia's court date. Notably, Delhi Deputy CM will be presented before the CBI court at 2 pm. Ahead of the court proceedings, Sisodia will undergo mandatory medical checkup, confirmed sources.

Manish Sisodia Says, "Even If I'm In Jail, Don't Feel Sorry'
Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia arrived at the CBI Office, for interrogation in the controversial Delhi Excise Policy Scam. Ahead of the interrogation, Sisodia tweeted, "Even if I am in jail for 7-8 months, don't feel sorry for me, be proud. PM [Narendra] Modi is afraid of Arvind Kejriwal, so he wants to frame me in a fake case." Sisodia blamed the BJP-Government of framing him, and fears arrest.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned the personal assistant (PA) of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. On February 23, the ED issued summon notices to Bibhav Kumar in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam. The interrogation is underway at the ED office in Delhi, confirmed sources. Recently, the ED issued a notice to Manish Sisodia, the Deputy CM of Delhi in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy scam.

AAP Candidate Aaley Md Iqbal Wins As Deputy Mayor Of Delhi
After winning the mayoral elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) also won the elections for the deputy mayor of Delhi. On February 22, Aaley Md Iqbal, a candidate of the AAP secured 147 votes, against the BJP candidate Kamal Bagri who won 116 votes, and won as the deputy mayor of Delhi. A total of 265 votes were casted, of which 2 votes were counted as invalid.

AAP Candidate Shelly Oberoi Wins Delhi Mayor Elections
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Shelly Oberoi is the new mayor of Delhi. On February 22, Oberoi claimed the victory against the BJP candidate in the mayoral polls. According to election results, Shelly won with a majority of 150 votes against BJP which garnered only 116 votes. After the victory, the Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia congratulated Shelly Oberoi and tweeted, "The goons have lost. The public has won."

MHA Gave Sanction To Prosecute Manish Sisodia In Snooping Case
In a major setback for Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs gave sanction to prosecute Sisodia in an alleged 'feedback unit (FBU) snooping case. On February 22, the BJP-led Union Government issued a notice, saying Manish Sisodia will be prosecuted under the Prevention of Corruption Act. It is to be noted, the AAP member Sisodia is alleged of snooping in FBU, set in 2015.
