CBI Arrests Former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh's Lawyer
In the latest development, Former Maharastra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh's lawyer Anand Daga has been taken into police custody. However, the transit remand was passed by the judicial magistrate after which he was brought to Delhi for further investigation. Two people have been arrested under the case including a CBI sub-inspector and will be presented before the competent court, said CBI.

ED Raids Former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh's Ancestral House
Maharashtra’s home minister, Anil Deshmukh’s ancestral house in Nagpur’s Wadvihira and Katol was raided by The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on July 18 regarding the Rs 100 crore extortion case. About six ED officials along with a team of Central Reserve Police Force began the search operation. Reportedly, ED also enquired his wife Aarati regarding the value of flat owned and land parcels.

ED Conducts Raid At Anil Deshmukh's Residence Under Corruption Charges
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted a search operation at the property of Former Minister Anil Deshmukh in Nagpur and Mumbai, related to a money laundering case on June 25. The raid has been carried out under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act for exploitation of officers and corruption. Earlier in May, a criminal case was filed against him and his group by ED after investigating a current CBI FIR.

Param Bir Singh Requests SC For Transfer Of Cases From Maharashtra

The CBI on April 24 booked former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh for allegedly forcing policemen to extort money from pubs and restaurants. Filing a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act, the CBI has also been conducting raids at several places in connection with the case. SC Agrees With Bombay HC Decision Of CBI Probe Against Min Deshmukh
Dismissing the pleas filed by the Maharashtra government and State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, the Supreme Court on April 8 chose not to interfere with the Bombay High Court order. Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul gave a nod to the Bombay HC’s decision directing CBI to conduct an enquiry against Deshmukh. However, representing the petitioners, Kapil Sibal argued against the CBI inquiry on the basis of "unsubstantiated allegation".

Ex-Officer Sachin vaze Accuses Anil Deshmukh Of Demanding Extortion Money
Suspended Mumbai police Sachin Vaze, in his exclusive letter to NIA, alleged that ex-Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh demanded Rs2 crore. Reportedly, the amount was to ensure Vaze's reinstatement into Mumbai Police against the NCP supremo Sharad Pawar's decision.
