Ravi Shastri Likely To Step Down As Head Coach, Anil Kumble To Return
Ravi Shastri's tenure as the head coach of the Indian Cricket Team will come to end soon after the T20 World Cup. According to reports, with Virat no longer as T20 Captain and Ravi Shastri soon retiring, BCCI might want Anil Kumble and VVS Laxman to return to camps for the role of Head Coach. Anil Kumble had also served as the Head Coach earlier during his term in 2017.

Anil Kumble Calls for More Indian Coaches in the IPL
During a virtual media meet on September 8, the head coach of Kings XI Punjab Anil Kumble stated that he wanted more Indian coaches in IPL. As Kumble is the only Indian Coach in the tournament, he opined that this was not a "true reflection of the Indian resources". Kumble also said that his team is in good form, both physically and mentally, under IPL's strict bio-bubble.
