Ghaziabad Mayor Asha Sharma has banned the sale of meat in view of the ongoing Navaratri festival. Reportedly, meat cannot be sold in the open, and in places surrounding temples, meat is completely banned. However, in other areas, meat can covered and sold. Sharma further stated that this norm is being followed every year. Notably, Chaitra Navratri commenced on April 2, and will go on till April 10.
