Rajasthan CM Cancels His Udaipur, Ahmedabad Tour, Confirms CMO
Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has cancelled his Udaipur, Abu Road and Ahmedabad tour scheduled on August 3 and 4, amid his ill health. On August 2, the Rajasthan Chief Minister's Office (CMO) issued an official statement, after the doctors monitoring Gehlot's health advised him rest for next few days. Notably, Gehlot is suffering from viral infection, since the past few days.

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot To Meet Kanhaiya Lal's Family: Udaipur Murder
Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot is scheduled to visit family members of Kanhaiya Lal, who was brutally murdered in Udaipur, on June 30. CM Gehlot, accompanied by the minister of state for home Rajendra Yadav, chief secretary Usha Sharma, DGP ML Lather and other senior officials, will reach Udaipur, by a special plane, around 1 pm. Furthermore, the curfew with internet service suspension is still in place, to avoid untoward incidents.

Ashok Gehlot Condemns Kulgam Killings, Criticised BJP Govt
Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot condemned the killing of a Rajasthan resident by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district. On June 2, two Rajasthan residents Vijay Kumar, a bank employee in Kulgam, was shot dead. Gehlot also criticized the BJP-led government which failed to restore the peace in the union territory. Ashok Gehlot said, "I pray to God to give peace to his soul and courage to his family."

'Free Me From This Cruel Ministerial Post', Says Ashok Chandna: Rajasthan
Rajasthan Minister Ashok Chandna took to Twitter and appealed to state CM Ashok Gehlot, asking for him to be relieved of all his duties. He further asked Gehlot to assign all his duties to principal secretary Kuldeep Ranka. "Free me from this cruel ministerial post," wrote Chandna. He then indicated that Ranka is unofficially the "minister of all departments", due to which, he feels he has no voice.

Rajasthan CM Gehlot Dials Punjab CM Mann, Requests To Repair Sirhind Canal
Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot spoke to Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and requested him to make arrangements for the repair of the damaged portion of Sirhind canal. He stated that water was scheduled to be distributed from the Indira Gandhi canal from May 21. However, water from the Sirhind feeder could not be released into the Indira Gandhi canal due to the damaged portion. Reportedly, Manna assured to take immediate measures.

'Ashok Gehlot Has Lost His Mental Balance': BJP MP
BJP Rajya Sabha MP Ram Kumar Verma has claimed that Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has lost his mental balance. Gurjar Community Leader & War Veteran Kirori Singh Bainsla Dies At 84: Rajasthan
Kirori Singh Bainsla (84), Gurjar community leader, passed away due to prolonged illness, on March 31. Doctors at a private hospital declared him dead. In 2007, 2008, Bainsla led the Gurjar quota agitation in Rajasthan. Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla, state CM Ashok Gehlot and other prominent leaders condoled his demise. Bainsla served in the Indian Army for three decades, and was part of the Sino-India war and Pakistan-India war.
