Photography Ban In Govt Offices: Karnataka Govt Withdraws Law One Day After Imposition

The government of Karnataka has withdrawn the ban it had laid on photography and videography inside the premises of government offices. The revocation has come as per the orders of CM Basavaraj Bommai. The ban was imposed since a petition claimed that some people harrassed government officials by shooting inside the premises. However, the ban has now been revoked, with immediate effect.

Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai To Visit Rain Affected Areas & Review Situation

Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai is scheduled to visit the rain affected areas of the state in the coming days. He will visit Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Kodagu and Udupi districts. "I will take stock of the situation and issue necessary instructions to take up relief works," said CM Bommai. A red alert was issued in the said districts, due to incessant rains.

Karnataka CM Allocates Rs 132 Cr To Provide Shoes, Socks For Govt School Students

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai stated that every kid registered in a government school will be given a pair of shoes and two pairs of socks on July 8. He has set aside 132 crore rupees for this objective. Due to the lack of funding in the budget and the delay in the government's decision-making, the Bommai administration has come under scrutiny for providing shoes and socks.

Red Alert Issued To 7 Districts Amid Heavy Rains, CM Reviews Situation: Karnataka

Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai reviewed the heavy rain situation in the state, over a meeting with district in-charge ministers and deputy commissioners of 13 rain affected districts. IMD has issued red alert to seven districts- Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Chikkamagalur, Shivamogga, Kodagu and Hassan districts. IMD reported that Karnataka has received 94% excess rain, so far in the month of July.

Bangalore To Become City With Amenities Of International Standards: CM Basavaraj Bommai

Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai said that Bangalore will be developed into a city with amenities of international standards, and his government is working towards making that a reality. He stated that Nagarothana projects worth Rs 6,000 crore has been initiated, and Rs 1,600 crore has been provided for the development of stormwater drains. Kempegowda Statue To Be Erected In Vidhana Soudha Within 1 Year, Says CM Basavaraj Bommai: Karnataka

Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai stated that a statue of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda will be erected in the premises of Vidhana Soudha, within one year. Reportedly, the statue will be erected at the banquet hall of Vidhana Soudha, marking Kempegowda's 513th birth anniversary. Furthermore, a 108 feet bronze statue of Kempegowda is under works at Bengaluru International Airport.

108 Ft Bronze Statue Of Kempegowda To Be Unveiled Soon At Bangalore Airport: CM Bommai

Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai said that a bronze statue of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda will be unveiled at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore. Reportedly, the statue will be 108 ft tall, and weigh 220 tons. He further stated that the statue is in its final stages of completion. The statue is constructed in a 23 acre heritage park and comes with a sword that weight 4,000 kg.
