After Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao announced TRS as the national party, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi, he clarified the name which will be used for the upcoming Munugode by-election. On October 7, the party supremo said, as of now, the registry and official authority of the BRS from the Election Commission of India is pending, therefore the Munugode election will be conducted under the old, Telangana Rashtra Samithi name.

Addressing the party conclave leaders, MLAs, MPs, Ministers and political leaders from various states, CM KCR announced Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) from Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS.) The new party will be a revolution, entering the national politics against PM Narendra Modi for the 2024 General elections.
