For the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, BJP has released its manifesto on October 22. The manifesto, released by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, promises free coronavirus vaccine for the state population, 19 lakh jobs and 30 lakh 'pucca' houses to the needy. Further, the manifesto reads that the alliance plans to make one crore women "self-reliant", and develop Bihar into an IT hub.

According to reports, the Civil Lines police station in Gaya has booked the Ulama Council party's candidate for Gaya elections, Mohammad Parvez Mansoori under the 'Prevention of cruelty to animals act'. After the RJD-Congress alliance denied seats to the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in the upcoming Bihar elections, the NCP has decided to contest the elections independently. The Bihar State Election Commission informed that a sum of Rs 6 crore has been seized, individual search operations were conducted till October 11. Reportedly, the unaccounted cash were confiscated by the Bihar police from the various locations of the state, including the Bihar-Jharkhand border, Bihar Sampark Kranti special train and in Purnia district. Apart from the cash, brown sugar and cannabis were also seized during the operation.
