Bihar Elections: Election Commission Puts Ban On Telecast Of Exit Polls

In view of the upcoming Bihar polls, the Election Commission has imposed a ban on telecast and conduct of opinion polls through any medium - print or electronic. The ban will remain in effect from October 28 till November 7. Bihar Police Seize Rs 6 Crore Ahead of State Election in Search Operations

The Bihar State Election Commission informed that a sum of Rs 6 crore has been seized, individual search operations were conducted till October 11. Reportedly, the unaccounted cash were confiscated by the Bihar police from the various locations of the state, including the Bihar-Jharkhand border, Bihar Sampark Kranti special train and in Purnia district. Apart from the cash, brown sugar and cannabis were also seized during the operation.
