The New York Times' list of 100 notable books of 2020 has mentioned three Indian authors' books. Bill Gates has announced that his book on climate change is expected to release in February 2021. Reportedly, the US-based publishing house Knopf will print his book titled "How to Avoid a Climate Disaster: The Solutions We Have and the Breakthroughs We Need". Gates said he had shared what he had learnt about the subject over a decade. He added that he was "eager" to continue conversations on preventing climate disaster.

On September 14, Bollywood film producer and interior designer Gauri Khan announced her debut as an author with the book "My Life in Design". Scheduled to release on 2021, the book will be about her journey as a designer and will be published by Penguin publications. She said, "the lockdown has given me time to work on this coffee-table book and I will be extremely happy to see it published".
