CDSCO To Investigate Death Suspects Due To India-Made Cough Syrup After WHO Alert
The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation took an urgent investigation against four India-made cough syrup and cold syrup medicine, which are suspected to have killed 66 children in the Gambia. The step to investigate came after an alert from the World Health Organisation (WHO) in this regard, on October 5. Moreover, the CDSCO also requested the WHO to submit a detailed report regarding the findings of the deaths.

Kerala: Agappe Ltd Launches COVID-19 Kit To Test Patients In 10 Minutes
A Kochi-based medical devices manufacturer will launch a new COVID-19 kit on November 10 that will test patients in just ten minutes and will provide accurate results in an hour. The company, Agappe Diagnostics Ltd, informed that the kit is based on RT-LAMP technology. Reportedly, it is also the first company to receive approval from both the ICMR and the Central Drug Standards Control Organization for RT-LAMP-based COVID-19 testing.
