Hasanamba Festival Begins, To Go On Till Nov 6: Karnataka

The annual Hasanamba festival at the Hasanamba Temple in Karnataka's Hassan started on October 29. The festival is likely to go on till November 6, 2021. Reportedly, only elected representatives and officers were allowed to enter the temple on the first day due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. Furthermore, devotees are allowed to enter everyday, except the last day. Besides, the temple gates opened in the presence of officials.

Chhath Puja Can Publically be Celebrated In Delhi: Deputy CM

Ending all the speculation, Delhi's Deputy CM Manish Sisodia on October 27 announced in a tweet that Chhath Puja can publically be celebrated in Delhi at pre-decided venues. However, he further said the devotees have to follow COVID-19 protocols to ''protect themselves from the virus''. Reportedly, the announcement came after the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) removed its ban on the public celebration of September 30.

Karnataka: Dussehra to be Celebrated with Restrictions this Year

Karnataka government has decided to celebrate Dussehra in a simple manner this year, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The government has allotted Rs 10 crore for the celebrations, and the 'Jamboo Savari' will only take place in the palace premises. Kannada and Culture Minister, C T Ravi, said that they will invite five COVID warriors to inaugurate the festival. Reportedly, other events including Yuva Dasara will be cancelled.
