China Has Unofficially Barred Indian Crew Vessels: Indian Seafarers' Union
According to the All India Seafarer and General Workers’ Union, China has unofficially banned the entry of ships with Indian crew at the Chinese port. The Union said that due to the imposed ban, “21,000 Indian sailors are facing job losses, directly or indirectly." DG (shipping) Amitabh Kumar commented on the matter, “We have not received any official communication. These are personal views of some people."
