Haryana Govt To Launch Anti-Tobacco Drive In Colleges From Jan 26
CM Manohar Lal Khattar-led Haryana government will start an anti-tobacco drive across all colleges and universities in the state from January 26. While painting anti-smoking slogans, the government would place volunteers near school displaying motivational messages. 'Institutions of Eminence' Get Nod To Set Up Offshore Campuses
Indian educational institutions that qualify as 'Institutions of Eminence' (IOEs) have now been permitted to establish campuses abroad, read the latest University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines. Karnataka To Re-open Degree Colleges From November Mid
Karnataka government announced on October 23 that all degree and diploma colleges in the state will commence from November 17. As per the Deputy CM CN Ashwath Narayan, students may enrol online or those who choose to attend offline classes will need their parents' consent. The continuation of classes and batches will be decided based on the student's strength and safety measures (norms) required to be followed.

Delhi Government Instructs Colleges to Pay Salaries from Students Society Fund
12 Delhi University colleges have been instructed by the Delhi government to clear payments of the due salaries of their staff from the Students Society Fund. The government has asked for a special audit of six colleges as well. However, the Delhi University Teachers' Association says it's "unacceptable" to pay the outstanding teaching and non-teaching staff from the fund.
