Batch Of 231 Indians Return From War Hit Sudan Under Operation Kaveri

India brought back home a total of 231 people under its mission to evacuate stranded Indians from strife torn Sudan.  The Indians arrived in Mumbai on a commercial flight. "Another #OperationKaveri flight brings citizens back home. Flight carrying 231 passengers lands in Mumbai," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi tweeted. Operation Kaveri is underway to evacuate more stranded nationals of India, in Sudan.

India Registers 7,633 New Case With 11 Deaths Of COVID

Although India started recording below 10,000 single day COVID-19 cases, the active cases has crossed 60k mark. With 7,633 new coronavirus infections, the active cases have increased to 61,233, confirmed the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. In addition, with 11 deaths, the death toll has increased to 5,31,152. The active cases is beyond 1.1% and recovery-rate is over 97% in India. People are also advised to be cautious.

Building Collapses In Delhi’s Lahori Gate; 11 Rescued, 1 Dead

A two-storey building which was in “dilapidated condition”, collapsed near Delhi’s Lahori Gate on October 9. The incident claimed the life of a 4-year-old girl. Delhi Excise Policy Case: CBI Arrest Man For Alleged Lobbying

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has made another arrest in the case of Delhi excise policy. A man has been arrested for allegedly lobbying for a South India-based businessman, on October 10. The accused, Abhishek Boinpally, a resident of Hyderabad, was arrested after he failed to cooperate with the central agency. The CBI stated that he will now be produced before a court.

Delhi Governor Approves 300 Hotels, Clubs And Online Services, Function Round Clock In Delhi

In a major boost to the nightlife of Delhi, LG Governor A. Saxena permitted 300 hotels and clubs to operate 24X7, in the national capital. On October 9, the Delhi Governor ordered to issue a notice in this regard and said, "Starting next week, the 300-plus establishments will be able to operate on a 24X7 basis in the national capital".
