Meerut Reports 26 Fresh Dengue Cases With 115 Active Cases: UP
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Akhilesh Mohan on September 22 informed that Meerut reported 26 new cases of dengue. There are 115 active cases in the state and about 116 people have recovered from dengue as of now. Around 62 patients are undergoing "home treatment," while 63 are admitted. Moreover, the CMO stated that Health Department is working to curb the outbreak and medicines have also been sprayed.

Dengue Infects 16 People In Uttar Pradesh's Agra District
The Agra municipality is on high alert after at least 16 people fell ill due to dengue in the district, said Agra's Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Arun Kumar on September 11. Reportedly, six out of 16 patients are in different hospitals of the city and others are ''at their respective homes''. ''We're carrying the door-to-door surveys as per instructions of UP Health Minister Jai Pratap Singh,'' the CMO added.

18 Cured Of Dengue In UP's Meerut; CMO Launches Medical Campaign
As many as 30 dengue cases have been reported in the UP's Meerut on September 8. According to Akhilesh Mohan, the district Chief Medical Officer (CMO), around 18 individuals have been lately been cured of dengue. "Our community health centres are equipped with doctors are required medications. Still, if the condition of the patient is serious, they will be referred to district hospital," CMO said.

51 Dead, 100 Suffers Dengue Viral-Fever In Uttar Pradesh
UP's Firozabad & Mathura district witnesses over 100 fresh cases of viral fever 'dengue' among children. About 51 people have died so far from dengue, a mosquito-borne viral disease. Nodal Officer Sudhir Kumar Bobde issued Do's & Don'ts to curb the disease spread, people are advised not to store excessive water in their surroundings. Worryingly, the disease is spreading to the eastern part of UP too.

Protesting Farmers At Singhu Border Start Cleaning Drains Themselves
Some protesting farmers at the Singhu border have signed up to clean the drains along the protest site. The free-flowing drains were clogged with disposables and leftover food until a group of eight farmer started cleaning the whole 10-km stretch of protest site. "Since this road is our home now, it was upon us to clean it" said a protestor. Reportedly, since December 23, they have cleaned up to 400 metres of the drain.

Dengue Exposure Could Lead To Immunity against COVID-19: Study
According to a study conducted in Brazil, people who were exposed to dengue can have higher chances of developing immunity against coronavirus. The study, led by Miguel Nicolelis, professor at Duke University, observed the geographic spread of coronavirus as compared to dengue outbreaks and mapped it. Delhi: Report Suggests 24% Rise in Dengue, Malaria Cases
Amid the ongoing COVID-19 scare, a new report has stated that Delhi witnessed a 24% rise in vector-borne disease (Dengue, Malaria, and Chikungunya) cases between August 23-29. With 69 new cases reported during the period under review, the total tally has reached to 277 this year. The 69 new cases comprised - 24 Dengue cases, 38 cases of Malaria, and seven cases of Chikungunya.
