Taliban's UN ambassador Suhail Shaheen stated that the government in Kabul is ready to provide a "secure environment" for the Indian embassy to boost bilateral relations. "We want all those countries including India that had their embassies in Kabul to reopen their embassies and start functioning as normal,'' stated an official. Notably, India has been providing aid and food to the Taliban-ruled Afghanistan.
