Envoys' Meet In Doha To Ensure Fast-Track Peace In Afghanistan
Delegates from the US, India, China, and other states met with the Afghanistan negotiators and Taliban spokesmen on August 12 in Doha to swiftly ensure peace and discontinue attacks on provincial capitals and cities in Afghanistan by the Taliban. They said that the world would not accept any regime "imposed through the use of military force." The Taliban in recent months have already seized two-third of regions in Afghanistan.

Afghan Leader Fawzia Koofi Leads In Nobel Peace Prize Nominations
Fawzia Koofi, a negotiator for the 'Doha talks with Taliban', has been primed for this years' Nobel Peace Prize. Along with her three other sisters, Koofi has been an essential part of the negotiation. Koofi stated that the nomination itself is a "big victory for women in Afghanistan." With her brother and father killed by Taliban regime, Afghanistan’s first women Deputy Speaker, Koofi, has escaped two assassination attempts as well.
