India Witnesses 8.7% Increase in Rainfall; Only 41 Districts Remain Dry
India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that the country witnessed a 8.7% higher rainfall than the 'seasonal normal', in 2020. According to State Precipitation Index by IMD, only 41 districts are experiencing dry conditions, as compared to 122 districts in 2019.
