DU Writes To University Vice Chancellor, Demands Amendments In Curriculum

The DU's Executive Council have written to the university Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh, demanding amendments in the structure of the new curriculum, which allegedly dilutes academic rigour. Delhi University's First Cut-off To Be Out On October 1

Delhi University released the schedule for the cut-off lists to be announced for the admissions to its various merit-based UnderGraduate courses on September 27. The first list will be declared on October 1, and the admissions will begin from October 4. The colleges will have time till October 7 to approve the applications and the candidates can complete the payment process by October 8.

Education Ministry suspends DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Tyagi

After being approved by President Ramnath Kovind, DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Yogesh Tyagi has been suspended from his duties. According to the officials of the Education Ministry Tyagi made decisions that caused "mis-governance" and "malfunctioning" in DU. They also added that the President has ordered an inquiry against Tyagi's failure of his duties and he will remain suspended until further orders.

Delhi University: Admission Based on Second Cut-off Begins; 50% Seats Filled After First Cut-off

The admissions to Delhi University under the second list which was announced on October 17, began on October 19. Principals said they were prepared for the second round of admissions, by rectifying the mistakes that happened during the first round. However, the second list had only a minor difference in the cut-off and reportedly 50% of the seats were already filled, after the first list.
