Bangalore-Based Company Builds Eco-Friendly House Which Cools Naturally

A Bengaluru-based company, BuildAhome, which provides home construction services, builds environmentally friendly homes with locally accessible materials like porotherm blocks while minimizing the usage of steel and cement. The homes are naturally cool in the summer and has saved hundreds of litres of water each year. Founded in 2016, the company has built around 400 houses in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Mumbai Boy Makes Eco-Friendly Grow Bag Made Of Recycled Bottles

Jinay Gada, a 17-year-old Mumbai native, a student of K J Somaiya College of Science and Commerce, has developed lightweight grow bags out of non-woven cloth as an eco-friendly option. However, Gada established ‘Planteria' in July 2021 and began promoting these grow bags across India. “They are sturdy, regulate water drainage, and promote air pruning. To date, I have sold 200 bags through social media,” says Jinay Gada.
