Jos Buttler Appointed As New White Ball Captain Of England Cricket Team
After Eoin Morgan announced his retirement from international cricket, the England & Wales Cricket Board, announced new captain, on June 30. England Test Captain Joe Root Steps Down From Post
After returning from the Caribbean tour, England Men's Cricket Test Captain Joe Root said, "I have decided to step down as England Men’s Test captain". Calling it a challenging decision, Root said the announcement was made after a detailed discussion with family and close ones. He further added that he would continue to represent Three Lions and extend his support to the next elected captain of the team.
