Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 12 km Pune metro rail project, following which he took the metro-ride and interacted with onboard school children, on March 6. "It is part of a total 32.2 km Pune Metro rail project. The entire project is built at a total cost of more than Rs 11,400 crore," said PMO. Earlier, in a day PM inaugurated a 1,850 kg statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
