Santoor legend Pandit Bhajan Sopori (74) passed away while undergoing treatment at the Fortis Hospital in Gurugram. He took his last breath on June 2,.  Bhajan Sopore is from the Sapora region of the Kashmir valley and traces his lineage to ancient Santoor experts. Belonging to the Sufiana Gharana of Indian classical music. Notably, the Pandit Bhajan Sopori family has played santoor for over six generations.

Haryana's Food and Drug Administration Department sealed a private blood bank over "irregularities", in Gurugram's sector 56 on April 30. The department then filed a complaint in the jurisdictional police station, where an FIR has been filed against a doctor and an executive director of the blood bank. Reportedly, the raid was conducted after receiving inputs about "illegal activities" in the blood bank. Further details are awaited.

In a tragic incident, a 60-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times by h er own son, reported police on April 8. As per sources, the woman identified as Veena Bhandari, was rushed to the hospital immediately after the incident, and is now in critical condition. According to the police, her son Manish approached her and started abusing her, prior to the incident. Reportedly, the accused is "mentally-disturbed" and is absconding. 

Zomato's new 10-minute instant delivery initiative, announced on March 22, received criticism from netizens. Clarifying the same, Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal assured safety of delivery partners, no penalties and deadline policies and other measures which ensures delivery partners' safety.
