No impact On Halal Meat Business Amid Protest, Says Shop Owners

Halal meat business has no impact amid call for a boycott of 'Halal' meat, says meat shop owners in Karnataka, due to the huge demand in several communities across the state including Hindus for non-vegetarian feast. The controversy just came up ahead of the 'Varshadodaku' festival which is celebrated the day after Ugadi. "There is no impact as such on the meat vendors," said Mahesh Tenginkai, BJP General Secretary Karnataka.
