Sri Lankan Navy Arrests 11 Indian Fishermen, Seizes 3 Fishing Trawlers
Sri Lankan Navy had reportedly arrested 11 Indian fisherman from Sri Lankan territorial waters, on February 8, as per an official statement. The arrests were made near the Delft island in North. Sri Lankan further stated that the fisherman were seen bottom trawling in the said area. Earlier, on February 1, 21 fishermen were arrested and remanded till February 21, by the Point Pedro Magistrate Court.
