Opposition Leaders Walk Out Of RS Over Denial Of Farm Law Discussion
Opposition parties including Congress, TMC, DMK and RJD walked out from the Rajya Sabha on February 2 after Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu rejected their demand for discussion over farm laws. Naidu rejected the demands saying the issue can be raised on February 3 during the discussion on 'Motion of Thanks' to the President's Address. He said, "No one is stopping you from discussing the issue tomorrow [February 3]."

BJP Settles At Just One Seat In Haryana Mayoral Elections
In the recently conducted Haryana Municipal Elections, the BJP could manage to win only one mayoral seat out of the three contested. The BJP won only Panchkula seat while the Congress and Haryana Jan Chetna Party bagged Sonipat and Ambala seats respectively. The elections were held on December 27 and the Indian National Lok Dal had boycotted it as a symbol of protest against the state government's use of force on farmers.

Bihar Polls: Tejashwi Yadav Announced As CM Candidate Of Grand Alliance
The Grand Alliance of Bihar, comprising of Indian National Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal and others, on October 3 proposed Tejashwi Yadav as the CM candidate for the upcoming Bihar polls.
