TMC's Nusrat Jahan Requests Centre to Grant Relief Package to Film Industry
On September 16, Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Nusrat Jahan urged the Union government to provide a relief package to the entertainment industry. During the Zero Hour, she called attention to the trying times faced by several people in the industry due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She also zeroed in on the miserable condition of the West Bengal's film industry.

Awadh’s Last Ruler Nawab Wajid Ali Shah's Great-Grandson Passes Away
Mirza Kaukub Qadr, the great-grandson of the last ruler of Awadh Nawab Wajid Ali Shah and an ex-professor of the Aligarh Muslim University, died at 87 in Kolkata on September 13. He is survived by his wife from Lucknow’s Khandaan-e-Ijtehaad family, and six children. He will be buried at his family burial ground Gulshanabad in Kolkata. He had worked as a research consultant for Satyajit Ray’s film ‘Shatranj ke Khilari’.
