Sonia Gandhi Tests Positive For COVID-19, Confirms Spokesperson
Congress President Sonia Gandhi tested positive for Covid-19, on June 2. Party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala confirmed the same saying, that Gandhi developed a mild fever on June 1 evening and took Covid-19 test, and resulted positive. After rounds of talk and discussions, the Indian National Congress (INC) invited election strategist Prashant Kishor, but he has declined the offer. Congress Delegations Meet Families Affected By Jahangirpuri Demolition
After the NDMC's encroachment drive in Jahangirpuri, a Congress delegation led by GS Ajay Maken on April 21, visited Jahangirpuri and met with the families, affected by the demolition drive. Notably, on April 20, the NDMC demolished properties at the clash hit Jahangirpuri area of North Delhi. Maken said, "We have come to Jahangirpuri to meet the victims. Police have been cooperative". ED Questions Congress Leader Malliakarjun Kharge In Money Laundering Case
Senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge is being questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on April 11. The leader who has been alleged in connection with the National Herald case money laundering probe was issued summon notice to appear before the ED. The 79-year-old Rajya Sabha Congress member would give a statement, which will be recorded under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Rahul Gandhi Slams BJP, Says Pm's To-Do List Include Fuel Price Hike
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, once again took a dig at PM Narendra Modi and BJP Government, over failed promises and fuel price rise. On March 30, after petrol & diesel prices increased for a 9th consecutive day, Gandhi said, "Prime Minister's daily to-do list - how much increase in petrol, diesel and gas rates." He also slammed the BJP for unemployment, privatization of public sectors and anti-farmers policies.

Shatrughan Sinha Joins TMC, Calls Mamata Banerjee A Leader Of Masses
Veteran actor turned politician Shatrughan Sinha has joined TMC, quitting Congress on March 15. After joining the party Sinha called Mamata Banerjee as "tigress of Bengal". "Shall be contesting under the dynamic leadership of a great lady, the great leader of the masses in the true sense, Mamata Banerjee," Sinha tweeted. Earlier, on March 13, Banerjee announced that Sinha will contest the election from the Asansol seat.
