Shia Muslim Shrine Collapse: Death Toll In Iraq Rises To 7
In Iraq’s city of Karbala, at least seven people including children died after the collapse of Qattara of Imam Ali, a Shia Muslim shrine. According to Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS), 70 of their volunteers are engaged in rescue operations. The incident occurred on August 21, when the mosque’s ceiling collapsed due to a landslide.
