IAF Issues RFI To Buy Indian Manufactured Anti-drone System

The Indian Air Force has issued a Request For Information (RFI) to avail at least 10 drones in order to counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems. The decision comes on June 28, to beef up the security in the wake of recent drone attacks in Jammu. As per the RFI, the anti-drone system must equip Laser Directed Energy Weapon and should be developed & manufactured in India.

Another Drone Spotted in Jammu, 5 Drones In 3 Days

Following the two consecutive days of drone activities in Jammu, another drone is spotted at three different locations, Kunjwani, Sunjwan, and Kaluchak. According to the sources, the drone was witnessed at around 2:30 AM on June 29 but disappeared after some time. Earlier, two drone attacks were reported on June 27, and two were found hovering over Kaluchak military camp on June 28. However, the investigations are underway.

3 Militants Killed During Attempt To Trespass; 4 Soldiers Injured

In a fight to prevent militants from crossing LoC in Jammu and Kashmir's Akhnoor sector, four soldiers have been injured. Meanwhile, three infiltrators were killed in the firing that happened on January 19. Reportedly, the Pakistani Army have supported the infiltrators in the Khour area to trespass. Moreover, they have not picked up the bodies of the dead terrorists that were lying on their side of the LoC.

Jammu: Women Found Dead In Reasi After Failing To Appear In UPSC Exam

A 25-year-old woman, who was supposed to appear for the UPSC exams in Jammu on October 4, was found dead in Reasi district, Jammu on October 5. The family of the deceased, Sonam Manhas, had lodged a missing complaint at the Parade police post after she did not return home. They also informed that she had failed to clear the Kashmir Administrative Services(KAS) exams. The police are awaiting postmortem results.
