16,000 Ducks Culled In Kerala's Kottayam Amid Bird Flu Scare
Amid bird flu threat in Kerala's Kottayam District, the local authority started mass culling of 16,000 birds. As of December 16, at least 16,000 ducks have been culled in three panchayats- Kallara, Vechoor, and Aymanam. These three panchayats are the worst-affected region. After today's culling total bird count will be released, said Collector PK Jayasree. Earlier in January, over 10,500 birds were culled in Kottayam.
