Kerala Allows Asymptomatic COVID Guest to Work in Controlled Areas
According to the order issued by the general administration department of Kerala Government, guest workers who are COVID-19 positive yet asymptomatic, can continue to work in separate areas, away from others. The order directs that their food and stay have to be arranged as per the First Line Treatment Centre guidelines. Kerala: Final Stretch of Phase 1 of Kochi Metro Completed
Amid the COVID-19 fear, the final stretch of the phase-1 of the Kochi metro was inaugurated on September 7 by the Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan through a video conference. The final stretch extends from Thykoodam to Petta. Reportedly, phase-1 of the Kochi metro has cost about Rs 6,218 crore. Also, the walls at Petta station pay tribute to the fishermen community for their life-saving contributions during the 2018 Kerala floods.

Kerala: Kesavananda Bharti Passes Away at the Age of 79
Kesavananda Bharti (79), the head of Edneer Mutt in Kerala passed away on September 6. He was known for the case that he had filed in 1973 against the Kerala government's land-reform laws. The judgement of this case is a benchmark in history and is referred to as "Kesavananda Bharti Case". The concept of "basic structure doctrine" of the constitution was implemented after this case.
